The Ultimate List of Binge-worthy True Crime Podcasts

Hey guys! If you are looking for the Ultimate Binge-worthy list of True Crime Podcasts you’ve come to the right place. There are so many categories when it comes to podcasts, but true crime is my personal favorite. If you are already a “podcast person” you know just how addictive, they can be.

My first podcast ever was Crime Junkie. I started binge-listening to podcasts during my daily commute between patients every day. Yes, over the music. I have been wanting to put together a post of all the true-crime podcast. There are so many out there. I obviously haven’t listened to them all, but this is what I’ve put together based on what I’ve listened too.

Crime Junkie

Hosted by Ashley Flowers and Brit Prawat, these ladies are the definition of true crime junkies. Like lots of us growing up on Forensic Files and America’s Most Wanted. They post weekly episodes covering murders, cold cases, disappearances, serial killers, etc. I love that they do mini-episodes with updates for cases. Every episode is as entertaining as the next. Do you want Full. Body. Chills. What are you waiting for? Give them a listen.

Monster: Season 1 (Atlanta Monster)

This podcast covers the true story of The Atlanta Children Murder. Payne Lindsey host this podcast in an attempt to uncover the truth behind a horrific 40-year-old mystery in his hometown. There are still unanswered questions and justice to be served for 25 African American Children. The answers are out there.

Monster: Season 2 (The Zodiac Killer)

We are talking one of the most notorious unsolved serial murders in history. The Zodiac killer was known for cryptogram and taunting letter sent to the press and police, sketches, and still, the question remains: Who is the zodiac? These series of crimes took place in Northern California. You get to listen to interviews with the former investigator, family members of the victims, and reporters.

The Dating Game Killer

This is a six-part series of Rodney Alcala, a sociopath and convicted child molester who ended up on a popular TV Show called The Dating Game. He was able to fool so many people including summer camps, producers, employees, prison psychiatrists, even parole boards — while continues to commit crime all over the United States. A great listen!

Over My Dead Body

This one hits close to home for me. This podcast is a true story about the murder of a Florida State Law Professor Dan Markel — shot to death during the day at his home in Tallahassee. Was it a robbery gone wrong? A crime of passion? There is only one way to find out.

My Favorite Murder

Prepare to plug the ears of your children and laugh your ass off! This is a true-crime comedy podcast hosted by comedian Karen Kilgariff and writer Georgia Hardstark has continued to remain one of the most entertaining shows I’ve ever hear. Covering their favorite tales of murder on the show. SOLD OUT shows worldwide for good reason!

And That’s Why We Drink

Covering two of my favorite things true crime and paranormal stories. Christine Schiefer and Em Schulz will pull you in with there boxed wine, ghost stories, and horrific true crime stories while keeping you laughing with their comical banter.

Case File

Hosted by an anonymous Australian man covering well-known murders and serial crimes both solved and cold cases. Presenting you with unforgettable cases, diving into details of investigations and cases from around the world. Rolling Stones and Time Magazine listed this podcast as a must-listen.

Serial  (Season 1)

Mostly everyone I know has heard of or listened to this podcast. Perhaps it was the reason you got into true-crime podcast, to begin with. Following along with investigative journalist Sarah Koenig. In this podcast, covering the case of Adnan Syed fighting his case regarding murdered ex-girlfriend, Hae Min Lee. Although there is a witness to testify, many think he telling the truth. Sarah Koeing continues to dig up answers. Sorting through documents, listening back to trial testimony, interrogations by authority, and much more. Discovering the trial covered up the complicated details of the story than the public or jury wasn’t able to hear.

In the Dark (Season 1 & 2)

Season 1 Podcast dives into the investigation of how authorities mishandled during a case of one of the most notorious child abduction in the country. These errors caused chaos in the country and raised questions regarding stranger danger, national sex offenders registries, and police accountability. Season 2 covered the case of Curtis Flowers. A man tried six times for the same crime and has continued to maintain his innocents. He won appeals over and over but still sits in death row. Makes you question the justice system and agenda of the prosecutor.

Dirty John

Now a series on Netflix. If you want to her the true-crime series over Dirty John than I highly recommend. Follow along with “busy doctor” John Meehan’s relationship from beginning to a disastrous end. Do you ever truly know someone?

Dr. Death

Another older and loved podcast. However, I’d advise not to listen before surgery. Haha. Kidding.. maybe. Texas Neurosurgeon, Christopher Duntsch, was convicted of gross Mal-practice after 31 of his patients were injured, two of which ended up dead after being operated on. Giving him the name, Dr. Death.

Up and Vanished (Season 1)

Season 1 covers the disappearance of Georgia Beauty Queen Tara Grinstead. Uncovering new leads and now providing detail of this no longer the cold case in this true-crime documentary podcast by Payne Lindsey. Season 2 is definitely on the list.

I’d like to know..
